Lost (Noah Rife, Jr.)
The end is near,
I feel it in my bones.
Eating away bit by bit at my soul.
The pain, the suffering, the agony,
Tearing me apart.
I feel like a lamb out to be slaughtered.
No choice, just a preordained destiny.
No soul, no life, no future . . .
I am lost and never can be found,
Drifting slowly towards the abyss
Like a sailor lost at sea.
Drifting towards the dark.
Tides of War
A path of destruction in its wake,
sweeping the globe immensely.
It cannot be stopped,
it cannot be ceased.
The tides of war befall our world,
crashing into everything in sight.
The men of greed,
the men of power,
all take blame for this wretched sea.
Who will save us?
Many say they will dam this disaster,
but log by log,
brick by brick,
the dam drifts away.
In the tides of greed,
the tides of power,
the tides of war.
sweeping the globe immensely.
It cannot be stopped,
it cannot be ceased.
The tides of war befall our world,
crashing into everything in sight.
The men of greed,
the men of power,
all take blame for this wretched sea.
Who will save us?
Many say they will dam this disaster,
but log by log,
brick by brick,
the dam drifts away.
In the tides of greed,
the tides of power,
the tides of war.
Our Voice
Corruption, greed, tyranny.
We stand beneath all three.
We are not safe,
We are not free.
Our land has been robbed,
Robbed of its light.
Piece by piece our world is ravaged,
While we stand idling by.
We are not free,
But slave to time and power.
Power that corrupts,
And power that destroys.
One wrong move, and our world will fall apart.
The force of time is no longer ours.
Our country is glass,
Glass with a crack creeping outward.
We are not safe,
Tyranny runs us,
And leads us straight into the ground.
We have no rights that cannot be taken,
Even our freedom of words.
Words define us and rule us,
But they say our words are not ours.
Together we must stand
To fight for our voice,
To fight for our land,
To fight for our freedom.
We stand beneath all three.
We are not safe,
We are not free.
Our land has been robbed,
Robbed of its light.
Piece by piece our world is ravaged,
While we stand idling by.
We are not free,
But slave to time and power.
Power that corrupts,
And power that destroys.
One wrong move, and our world will fall apart.
The force of time is no longer ours.
Our country is glass,
Glass with a crack creeping outward.
We are not safe,
Tyranny runs us,
And leads us straight into the ground.
We have no rights that cannot be taken,
Even our freedom of words.
Words define us and rule us,
But they say our words are not ours.
Together we must stand
To fight for our voice,
To fight for our land,
To fight for our freedom.
